Chili

1 lb ground beef

1 onion

1 can chili beans or kidney beans, drained

1 can tomato soup

1 can stewed tomatoes

1 small can tomato sauce

1 + t. of chili powder

salt and pepper (as needed)

Celery (optional)

Fresh Tomato (optional)

 

Brown ground beef and drain.  Add onion and then rest of ingredients.  Heat well, simmer for hour or more.  Don’t add more chili powder until heated thru and you have tasted the soup.  Serve with the toppings of your choice and enjoy!

 

Chicken Tortilla Soup

1 can chicken broth

1 can refried beans

1 can black beans

1 can corn, drained

1 lg. can chicken, drained

1 cup salsa

1 cup cheese

Tortilla chips

 

Mix and heat. Before serving add in 1 cup cheese. Serve over crushed tortilla chips. Serves 6.
