Megan & Curt

5 Jun

Here is a handful of the finished engagement pictures I have been previewing over the last few weeks. Enjoy!

A few more peaks..

25 May

I like keeping Curt and Megan wanting more, so I’ve shared a few more pictures with them. Here is your chance to see them. I’m hoping to have them all edited by the end of the holiday weekend. I know they are anxiously waiting to see them. As soon as I show them the pics, I’ll be sure to show you more here. Let me know what you think of these, I’m SO new to editing with Lightroom and could use any pointers anyone has! Enjoy!

A Sneak Peak

23 May

I had the pleasure of taking my friend Megan’s engagement pictures last weekend. It was my first portrait session and it was a challenge for me but fun! It’s a completely new thing for me, I’m much more of a candid photographer (if you can even call me that). Here is a sneak peak at one of Curt and Megan’s photos. More to come soon…

My co-workers and I visited RAGBRAI in Indianola the other day. We were able to spread the “We Love Smoke-free Iowa” message, as well as take in the event. Megan and Bobbie Jo became a part of history by putting their handprint in cement for the Guiness Book of World Records attempt at the most handprints in cement. Indianola was able to grab this title after 2,581 handprints were put in cement.

RAGBRAI is quite the event. If you have never seen the event, look for the event next year and visit a town along the route. I hope to train and participate in the event sometime in my life!

Not your normal trip to the zoo…

Last Wednesday,  some friends and I ventured to the zoo for one of their July events. Every Wednesday night in July you can visit the Blank Park Zoo for Zoo Brew. A night of animals, music and a brew of some sort. They feature local wineries or breweries throughout the month and of course, have the domestic beers and drinks as well. It was a fun night and it gave me the chance to visit a zoo I haven’t been to since I was a child. I was even able to climb in the tunnel to see the prairie dogs, which sadly were not out and about in their habitat due to the loud band play a few feet away. I guess I can’t blame them for hiding all night!
